Songsa Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Songsa. By creating an account or using Songsa, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Songsa.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. Give accurate registration information, protect your credentials and tell us promptly about unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Your music and licence to operate Songsa

As between you and Purple Layers, you retain your rights in prompts, performances, recordings and other content you submit, and in outputs to the extent the law permits. You give Purple Layers a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce, process and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure, support and improve the service, and to make content public only when you deliberately publish it.

You are responsible for checking that you have the rights and permissions required for submitted and shared content. AI-assisted output can resemble existing ideas by coincidence and may not qualify for intellectual-property protection in every country. Songsa does not guarantee that an output is unique, non-infringing or suitable for release.

Acceptable use and AI safety

Do not use Songsa to break the law; violate copyright, privacy or publicity rights; impersonate others; distribute malware; bypass access, usage or safety controls; scrape or overload the service; harass or threaten people; or create or distribute exploitative, hateful, sexually abusive or otherwise unlawful content. Do not request or use generated content to exploit or abuse children, facilitate scams or deceptive official material, encourage self-harm or dangerous acts, enable bullying or harassment, or create non-consensual sexual material. You can report a generated Songsa response from its in-app Report action. We may restrict generation, remove content or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, rights holders or the service.

Free features and paid creation services

You can use Songsa’s on-device composition editing and playback features without a paid plan. A paid Songsa plan is required for server-assisted services, including conversations with Songsa, music or lyric generation and regeneration, server processing, cover generation, Finish, and new exports. The plan-selection screen shows the current benefits, billing period and price before purchase. Internal capacity controls are not a currency, have no cash value and cannot be transferred.

Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

Android subscriptions bought in Songsa are processed by Google Play and renew automatically for the period shown at purchase unless cancelled. Google Play charges the payment method associated with your Play account. You can manage or cancel from Google Play subscriptions; cancellation stops future renewal and normally leaves access active until the end of the paid period. Refunds and billing disputes are handled under Google Play’s rules and applicable law. Restoring a valid purchase does not create a second charge. If a subscription expires, locally available editing, playback and already-saved music remain available, while paid server services stop until access is renewed.

Generation, rendering and files

Generation is probabilistic and may fail or produce unexpected results. Preview and final rendering can differ by device, instrument assets and settings. Keep your own copies of important exports. Fair-use and monthly creation limits protect service availability and may differ by plan. We will show material plan changes before they apply and provide notice or remedies required by law.

Availability and changes

We aim to operate Songsa reliably but do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may maintain, change or discontinue features. Where a material change adversely affects a paid service, we will provide notice or remedies required by law.

Disclaimers and liability

Songsa is provided with reasonable care, but to the maximum extent permitted by law it is provided “as is” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uniqueness or non-infringement. Purple Layers is not liable for indirect, special or consequential loss, lost profits or lost creative work. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Ending the agreement

You may stop using Songsa and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for material or repeated violations, legal requirements or security threats, using notice where reasonably possible. Provisions that by nature should survive—including ownership, lawful retention, disclaimers and liability limits—continue after termination.

Law and contact

These Terms are governed by Singapore law, without limiting mandatory consumer protections available where you live. Courts of Singapore have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Questions can be sent to support@purplelayers.com.
